I’ll never forget my first camera. When I was a teenager, I’d leave school as fast as I could every day, so I could spend my afternoon skateboarding with my friends. Those were amazing times. We loved to hang out and we shared everything with each other. And it was on one of those long afternoons that my life changed forever when my friend gave me my very first DSLR camera.

From that moment on, I was hooked. I loved to take pictures and see the world through that camera’s lens. My passion for photography became one of the driving forces in my life. It took me across the country and drove me into a career that I love. If it weren’t for that old camera, given to me in the dusty sunset of a skate park all those years ago, I wouldn’t be the lifestyle photographer I am today in Cincinnati.

How I Got Here

Once that camera was in my hand, I knew that this was my calling. For 14 years, I have been working, building my portfolio and my reputation. While I was confident I could make a living, I never expected that I’d end up working with the major brands and famous models that have become a regular part of my days. In my portfolio, you’ll find examples of this work, including shots I’ve done for clients like,

  • Bed, Bath, and Beyond

  • Big Lots,

  • Chewy

  • Express

  • Joann Fabrics

  • A lot more!

Regardless of the brand or subject matter, what I hope you take away from each shot is my personal style that captures the feeling of a genuine moment centered around the products.

My Job

My job is about a lot more than just pointing and clicking my camera. It’s even about more than the technical skills that I’ve honed to get the lighting and staging set upright. What I do as a commercial lifestyle photographer is to find and capture a genuine, authentic moment that expresses the essence of what it’s like to experience the product. Whether I’m photographing a model or food or a new gadget, my goal is to connect at a human, emotional level.

If you walked onto the set of one of my photoshoots, you might think we’d given up on putting in a full day of work and decided to throw a party. But don’t worry, there’s a method to the madness.  Authenticity doesn’t come from a carefully staged tableau, where everyone and everything is perfectly posed and stiff. Genuine moments happen when people are relaxed and letting their guard down. Whether I’m on location with a model, or alone in the studio with the product, I work hard to create an atmosphere that brings out the essence of what it’s like to experience the brand. My sets are always full of laughter, music, and fun.  And I think you’ll see that joy come out in the shots in my portfolio.

Let’s Talk

If you’re an agency or a brand looking for a lifestyle photographer to capture publishing quality photos in the Cincinnati area, let’s talk. I believe the key to a great partnership is making sure we share the same creative vision. While commercial lifestyle photography is a business, it’s also an art.

There are few things as exciting as seeing your artistic vision come to life, especially when it centers around a brand or product that you have worked so hard to develop and share. I want to help other people feel the same excitement and love for your brand that you do. Let’s talk and see where the creative vision takes us.
